Hello everyone!

What’s the best practice to have 5.1 and Stereo sounds in your game? At the moment we have two different fmod projects for them and it’s insane to maintain them. There must be another way.

What’s yours?

For what purpose does your game require a mix of speaker formats?

Use Snapshots! That way you don’t need entirely different FMOD sessions.

If you’re talking about specific audio clips and/or events, just change the settings between 2D sound and 3D sound on the event itself.
