Hi there,

For some reason, I can’t trim the start of an audio file inside my event.

When navigating with the cursor to the very left edge of the audio file (two horizontal arrows appear) and when trying to trim it, the audio “slides” to the right and cuts it from the right side, instead of trimming the beginning like I want. It moves the beginning of the audio file (at the same time cutting it from the right side of the audio file) and does not trim it.

However, I can trim the audio file from the ending as expected, it only doesn’t work when I do it from the beginning. Thank you in advance!

Not being able to left-edge trim synchronous instruments is a known bug introduced in FMOD Studio version 2.03.07. We’ve already created a fix for this issue, and it will be included in version 2.03.08 when it is released.

If you’re for any reason unable or unwilling to wait for FMOD Studio version 2.03.08 to be released, I recommend downgrading to FMOD Studio 2.03.06, which does not suffer from this bug.

Downgrading back to 2.03.06 seems to have fixed this, thank you for your help, Joseph!

Having this same issue in v2.03.12. Trims the end instead.

Suggestions?

Edit: Ah ok, not a bug. Just can’t do it with multi instruments 🙂

I’m glad to hear you were able to get to the bottom of the issue.
