# Effect Chains always opened

Is there a way to keep the effect chain closed? every time i click on an event they’re open, no matter if I closed them before

As of the time of writing (July of 2025), there is no way to make the collapsed/expanded state of an effect or effect chain persistent. Would you like me to add this suggestion to our feature and improvement tracker?

yes please, would be nice to have the same also aon “flatten” option

Sure thing. I’ve added “add a way of making effect chains persistently expanded or collapsed” to our feature and improvement tracker.

What do you mean by a “flatten” option? We currently only have flatten options in browsers, so I’m not sure I understand how what they’d do in the deck.

I don’t mean in the deck.

I mean: in browser if I have flatten active, the next time I use the browser should remain active. Now it’s automatically deactivated
