# Error Saving Session "Error writing to.....Make sure you have write permission to the file."

I’m continuously getting this intermittent error when saving.

> Error writing to C:/Users/Playtest PC/AppData/Local/FMOD  
> Studio/UnsavedProjects/Project-WtXUC8/DesignerToStudio/{d1972e0f-ab7e-420e-a582-d2ddef9b2c4c}/.unsaved/Metadata/Workspace.xml.  
> Make sure you have write permission to the file.

I’m unable to save my session.

Hi,

From the error message, it looks like the error occurred after opening a Designer project is that correct? When trying to save, did Studio present a prompt asking for a new location to save the project to? Would you be able to provide the Studio version you are using?

That is correct

Hi,

I have yet to reproduce this locally. The next best thing to do is to send us the logs via “Help-\>contact [support@fmod.com](mailto:support@fmod.com)” after you encountered the issue.

Having the same problem after accidentally quitting FMOD 2.01.01 (ctrl+w, because that’s the default command for duplicate in Unreal Engine, so habit), and opening it up again.
