# Event names and banks

It seems the event names have to be unique. I cannot have a event `test1` both in `master` as well as in `my_bank` each aving their own sound?

Also when creating an event description using `Studio::System::getEvent()` I cannot use `"event:\my_bank\mb_test1"` but should use`"event:\mb_test1"`.

Is this normal behaviour, or did I forget a setting somewhere?

The event names can be the same but their paths need to be unique. An event can also be present in multiple banks.

Event paths do not contain the bank they are in. Right click on the event you want to use in FMOD Studio and select “Copy Path” to get the path needed to get the event.
