In the past, the “Events Renamed” pop-up has appeared before I’ve entered Play Mode, but today (twice so far) it has been popping up _after_ entering play mode. It’s a modal pop-up – it won’t allow me to do anything until I’ve clicked one of the buttons. But since Unity eats the mouse cursor when its window is active, clicking one of the buttons is impossible. Also, the modal is unresponsive to keyboard input. I can’t press Tab to select a button or Enter or Spacebar to choose an option. So when this happens, the only option available to me (unless I’m missing something) is to right-click Unity in the Dock and select Force Quit. At that point, I have to return to the Unity Hub to reopen my project.

Hi,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could I please grab your unity integration version? Do you have any reproduction steps that consistently cause the issue?

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yeah, of course.

I’m using version 2.03.14 of the integration. Build number is 164239.

It’s luckily straight-foward to reproduce. In FMOD Studio, rename any event used in the Unity project and select File \> Build. In Unity, enter Play Mode and then trigger this code:

`Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked;`

`Cursor.visible = false;`

In our case, our game has a menu screen with a button to load into the game world. Doing so triggers locking the cursor.

After this, the modal appears and cannot be interacted with.

Let me know if I can assist in any other way or offer further clarification. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for the repro steps. After building your banks are you seeing this pop up:

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/fmod/original/2X/4/454ec2d43578da21a9f620b11b99e9f9d3acc108.png)

If you have changed these settings:

The refresher may not be triggering giving the integration enough time to show the rename warning:

I was not able to enter play mode before both of these pop ups were triggered.

It doesn’t appear that the FMOD Settings were modified, but Show Status Window is not checked so the Bank Refresh Status doesn’t appear. The Events Renamed warning is what is appearing. It used to appear before I had the chance to enter Play Mode, but now it’s appearing long after.

I’m not sure what changed to cause the delay. But, the Events Renamed warning is actually not useful for our workflow, so if there’s a way to prevent it from popping up at all, that would be ideal. (I always click No.) Also, it would be great if it were possible to interact with it while in Play Mode with a locked cursor, at least with keyboard controls if not also with the mouse.

I’m working on macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 in case that helps. I’m not sure if there might be differences around whether that warning is interactable on Windows vs. Mac.

The events renamed pop up is caused by the banks refreshing in Unity. With the `Show Status Window` unchecked the banks are refresthing in the background after 5 seconds, which will be just enough time for you to enter play mode.

If you comment out line `396` in `EventManager.cs` it will disable the Events renamed pop up, however I would not recommend doing this as you may break links to events and cause errors. I would rather suggest enabling the bank refresh window so you can trigger the pop up before entering play mode.

Hope this helps.
