# FMOD\_ERR\_FORMAT with large WAV file

We have a user with a 10 hour WAV file (about 6GB on disk) and createSound returns FMOD\_ERR\_FORMAT.

Shorter file (2 hours) seems to work.

What are the limitations on WAV files with FMOD?

Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce the behavior.

Is it possible to get the audio file they are trying to use [uploaded](https://fmod.com/profile#uploads) to your [profile](https://fmod.com/profile) to test on my side?

Hi,

Thank you for the file. The issue is with the format in larger files, in a DAW you need to force it to WAV. This screenshot is from Reaper:
