# FMOD + Unity: Popping Sounds on Mac

We’ve received reports from players of occasional popping sounds on Mac. I cannot reproduce the issue on my Mac (2020 Intel iMac); however, a few of our employees have reproduced it on their devices. We have **not** received reports of it occurring on PC or Mobile. We’re using Unity 6000.3.11f1 and FMOD 2.02.33.

A few important things to note:

- All players experiencing this have Mac devices with M-series chips. However, not all players with M chips experience this issue. I’m not sure if the processor type is relevant.

- Our employees experiencing the issue can reproduce it in both the Unity Editor and builds.

- The popping noises also occur when the in-game volume is completely off.

- The sounds mostly happen during combat, when the most events are playing simultaneously.
