Hello,
We are planning an upgrade from FMOD version 1.02.03 to version 2.02 (latest).
Wondering if you could give us a few pointers about the upgrade path. Ideas or perhaps notes about expected and possible issues we might face during the process.

We are currently experiencing audio drop outs and pitch shifts on Windows 11 systems when stressed. These issues do not show under Windows 10.

Thanks in advace.

You will need to refer to the “New in FMOD API” sections of 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 to see all of the API changes:

- [**What’s New in 2.00?**](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/welcome-whats-new-200.html#whats-new-in-200)
- [**What’s New in 2.01?**](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/welcome-whats-new-201.html#whats-new-in-201)
- [**What’s New in 2.02?**](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/welcome-whats-new-202.html#whats-new-in-202)

Main gotchas that will most likely affect you are:

- The `LowLevel` API has been renamed to the `Core` API, e.g `Studio::System::getLowLevelSystem` is now [`Studio::System::getCoreSystem`](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/studio-api-system.html#studio_system_getcoresystem)
- Renamed/Removed various EventInstance parameter getters/setters: [New Parameter API](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/welcome-whats-new-200.html#new-parameter-api)
- Replaced `System::getCPUUsageEx` with [`System::getCPUUsage`](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/api/core-api-system.html#system_getcpuusage)
- Removed anything marked deprecated

I cannot see any existing reports of this in our bug tracker, I think updating to a supported version of FMOD will be a good first step. Please let me know if you run into any issues while updating, or if you are still getting drop outs or pitch shifts.
