Can I use different versions of FMOD Studio and FMOD Unity Integration? For example, I started my project with FMOD Studio 2.01 and want to upgrade to studio 2.02, do I need to upgrade the engine in unity as well?

You cannot use different major versions of FMOD Studio and the FMOD Unity integration; if you update from Studio 2.01 to 2.02, you’ll need to update the Unity Integration to 2.02 as well. Using a different minor version, i.e. a newer patch of Studio with an old patch the Unity Integration or vice-versa, should be fine. The [Version](https://www.fmod.com/docs/2.02/studio/glossary.html#version) section of the Studio docs has more info on the specifics.

In general, we only recommend updating to a new major version for project near to or at the beginning of development - see the [Updating the Plugin](https://www.fmod.com/docs/2.02/unity/user-guide.html#updating-the-plugin) of our Unity Integration docs for more infomation.
