# fmodstudioL - macOS catalina ERROR PLEASE HELP

hey everybody!
i have this errors:
i tried to install different versions of unity and or fmod and nothing. still same problem.
i guess it’s because of the Catalina OS but i cant downgrade due to the problem of deleting all my files.
is there anything i can do to fix it?
PLEASE HELP

I fixed this by going to ‘Privacy and Security\>General’ and manually allowing the dll. Then I had to close and reopen unity and it worked.

this was the first thing i tried, but the files aren’t there, like the computer deletes them.
and how do i whitelist? searched on google couldnt found the answer

This has been fixed in 2.00.09 and 2.01.01.

Hello, Just wanted to add a solution that worked for me on OS Catalina.
Use this command in terminal
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine (drag and drop fmodstudioL.bundle)

Running Sonoma 14.2.1 with M2 Apple Silicon and this fix worked for me!

I know this is sort of a finished conversation, but oh my god I found an easy fix.
I wasn’t getting the “cannot verify the developer” error, mine said ““fmodstudioL.bundle” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the trash.” with a move to trash prompt.

I know it’s not the same error but this page came up when I was searching for a fix so it might be helpful to other people.
