# Folder Collapse

Hi,
It’s a little nitpicky thing but thought I’d ask anyway.
Is it possible to collapse all folders in a folder hierachy with one click? Similar to Unity when pressing alt click on a gameobject collapses all children, I like to keep a tidy hierachy. Thanks so much for your time!

As of the time of writing (February of 2025) there is no way to collapse all child folders of a folder with a single click.
Would you like me to add this feature to our list of requested features?
Incidentally, you can hide all folders in most browsers by clicking the “Flatten” button at the browser’s bottom-right corner. It’s not what you asked for, but it might appeal to your desire for visual tidiness.

Thanks for that! the flatten button is good to know, I do prefer to see my folders though so would be great to see a ‘collapse all children’ feature in an upcoming release!

Sorry Joseph while we’re on the topic of folder hierachys could I make another request?
When searching in the event editor search bar it’d be great to have the folders open to expose the matched events, at the moment the search bar finds the events but I have to drill down into like 5 folders sometimes.
Unless there’s a setting for that already?

I can see how that’d be useful! I’ll add this suggestion to our feature and improvement tracker, too.
