# Getting Master Channel from Event

To get the master channel of an Event, you can use:

[EventInstance::getChannelGroup](https://www.fmod.com/resources/documentation-api?version=2.0&page=studio-api-eventinstance.html#studio_eventinstance_getchannelgroup)
