# How to achieve formant shifting by creating a custom DSP?

I am confused when I read this answer.  
I don’t quite understand how to shift formant, like which DSP types I need to set.

Unfortunately formant shifting is an incredibly complicated both in terms of how formant shifting actually works and how to write code to perform that task. It goes beyond what we can offer on this forum. I would recommend going to a more programmer-focused forum such as Stackoverflow.
