Using UE 5.6.1-0+UE5 and FMOD 2.03.14

Windows 11

I am able to connect Live update to port 9264 no problem on a fresh boot of my PC.

I am often stopping and restarting the UE build. At some random point, Live Update stops connecting - sticks on either reconnecting or gives me a Socket Error warning.

At this point, whilst UE does come up, FMOD port doesn’t come up with either netstat -a -n -o | find “9264” on CMD or with powershell with Get-NetTCPConnection | Select-Object LocalAddress, LocalPort, RemoteAddress, RemotePort, State, @{Name=“ProcessName”;Expression={(Get-Process -Id $\_.OwningProcess -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue).ProcessName}} | Format-Table -AutoSize

Closing and open FMOD doesn’t help, closing and opening UE doesn’t help and I am forced to reboot.

Then I’m in a world of cyclic reboot during the day.

I can find no error or warning in the log

Any ideas? Thanks.

I haven’t been able to reproduce any issues like this in an Unreal build.
Can you please tick _[Enable API Error Logging](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/unreal/settings.html#enable-api-error-logging "https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/unreal/settings.html#enable-api-error-logging")_ and set the _[Logging Level](https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/unreal/settings.html#logging-level "https://fmod.com/docs/2.02/unreal/settings.html#logging-level")_ to “LEVEL LOG”, and next time this happens, share the full log from your game after Live Update fails to connect?

Can you also please locate your latest FMOD Studio [logs](https://fmod.com/docs/2.03/studio/troubleshooting.html#i-have-discovered-a-bug-in-fmod-studio) after this reproduces and upload them to your [FMOD Profile](https://fmod.com/profile#uploads)?

Thanks - will do. I’m away from home atm but it’s just done the same thing on my portable dev PC.

OK Jeff - those two logs are now uploaded to my profile. Thanks

Thanks for sending those over. I can’t see any socket errors in there- I am seeing an assertion fail in in the UE log, but I don’t think that would be catastrophic.
I’m not seeing anything in the FMOD Studio logs either.
Not sure how big the project is at this stage, but would it be feasible for you to send me a build that I can try reproing with?
