# OpenSSL install issues

Hello,
I am unable to install FMOD for linux on xubuntu 22.04 because it is looking for openssl 1.1.1 and not 3. I have tried to force install of the old package but even after installing the program is unable to find the correct library.
Any advice on getting fmod working would be greatly appreciated as this is completely preventing me from running my game as I cannot build the banks, this is a pretty urgent issue that should be fixed with the install.

We should have a fix for this in our 2.02.09 release.
In the meantime, can you get it to work by downloading the old libssl here?

Hey,
I saw your reply after installing libssl1.1\_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2\_amd64.deb but also attempted to install what you linked for good measure and now studio is opening!

This has been fixed in 2.02.09 which is now available on the [Download page](https://fmod.com/download).
