Hi,

After discussing this with Mathew and the rest of the development team, it’s worth stating there’s nothing in particular about an official integration that provides any advantage over an unofficial one besides direct support for any features of the integration’s API.

We’re more than happy to provide support for users of unofficial integrations, at least as far as we can without running into issues with third-party integration code that are outside of scope of support (i.e. code maintenance, integration features, etc.), in which case we generally would have to refer users to the third-party dev. With integrations using an open-source license like [fmod-gdextension](https://github.com/utopia-rise/fmod-gdextension), our support generally extends further because integration code is able to be modified by both us and users.

With all of that said, thank you for your expression of interest in an official integration - I’ve noted it internally.

I think if we could get a landing page that points to the official recommendation of an unofficial integration that would be enough for most people. One of the big problems is just finding what you’re supposed to do to use FMOD with Godot, even if there are solutions out there. Having an official FMOD instructions of “go to this repo, install the extension like this” would be a huge value add for not a ton of work.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve passed it along to the development team.
