Hello.
If I know the file structure but don’t have the fmod project file,
is it possible to re-create a bank with completely new sound effects (with which I then replace the original bank, effectively modding it), or am I prevented from doing so by GUID matching?
Specifically asking for Project Zomboid,
thanks

It isn’t possible to recreate an event or other project elements from built banks. As you mentioned, the GUIDs will be different for a new project and a new event, but also the information is obfuscated when it is bundled into a bank. I would suggest getting in touch with the game’s developers to see if they can share the FMOD Studio project with you.
