# The issue of upgrading the BANK file

HI, the problem I’m currently encountering is the issue of version upgrade, specifically: Currently, I can only obtain all the BANK files from my friend. There is no FMOD project. Moreover, I learned from my friend that the version for making these BANK files is 1.09.01. Now, I want to upgrade to 2.02.08 based on this. Could you please tell me how I should proceed to the next step?
Supplementary: Currently, I have obtained all the audio WAV files exported from the BANK file through the FMOD\_BANK\_TOOLS tool, and successfully obtained all the event index files through the API of 1.09.01. However, the current problem is: The audio file names do not match the event names. Therefore, when I was making the 2.02.08 project, I couldn’t associate the events with the sounds one by one.

Hi,
It’s not possible to retrieve an FMOD Studio project from banks, and assisting you doing so unfortunately falls outside the scope of forum support. I assume from your use of FMOD\_BANK\_TOOLS you may be involved in modding a specific game’s audio? If so, I’d recommend reaching to the modding community of the game to see whether they can be of any help.
