# Trimming Audio from left shifts the waveform to the right (?)

The function for trimming audio files from the left suddenly stopped operating in the middle of a task. When I try to trim audio from the left, the waveform shifts to the right. This change only occurs from the left; right trimming works perfectly.

FMOD Studio 2.03.07 (Latest)  
macOS Monterey

Thanks for the bug report! This is a known issue. It was introduced in version 2.03.07, and we’ve already created a fix for it in FMOD Studio version 2.03.08.

I’m afraid there’s no workaround for the issue at present, but if you downgrade to version 2.03.06 or wait for version 2.03.08 to be released, you’ll be able to resume left-edge trimming without problems.

Wow!!! I didn’t realize there were incremental FMOD updates. I rolled back to v2.03.06, and the issue is gone. 🙂 Many, many thanks!!!
