# Use a track for both 2D and 3D

I saw the answer to the question about playing a sound as 2D by removing the 3D Panner, but is there a way to play a sound in 2D and 3D without having to make another event in fmod studio?

Yes you can morph between 2d and 3d using the 3d panner.  
Pop up the arrow as shown below in the screenshot. You can then add an automation to control the 2d or 3d mix level for the track.
