The documentation for Channel::setPosition states;

[https://www.fmod.com/resources/documentation-api?version=2.0&page=core-api-channel.html#channel\_setposition](https://www.fmod.com/resources/documentation-api?version=2.0&page=core-api-channel.html#channel_setposition)

> If playing a Sound created with System::createStream or FMOD\_CREATESTREAM changing the position may cause a slow reflush operation while the file seek and decode occurs. You can avoid this by creating the stream with FMOD\_NONBLOCKING. This will cause the stream to go into FMOD\_OPENSTATE\_SETPOSITION state Sound::getOpenState and Sound commands will return FMOD\_ERR\_NOTREADY. Channel::getPosition will also not update until this non-blocking set position operation has completed.

Which functions will return FMOD\_ERR\_NOTREADY when the sound is in FMOD\_OPENSTATE\_SETPOSITION?

What is the definition of a “Sound command”?

All functions in the FMOD::Sound class.

A few functions may not be affected because their data is cached/not affected by position change, such as Sound::getName for example.
