Am I assuming correctly that eventInstance.stop() will “free” channels?

I’ve just moved this post into the FMOD Studio forum. For future reference, please post questions about the FMOD Studio API in this forum. Thanks!

Yes, EventInstance::stop() will release any playing channels. This will happen immediately if you specify FMOD\_STUDIO\_STOP\_IMMEDIATE, or after any fadeout the event has if you specify FMOD\_STUDIO\_STOP\_ALLOWFADEOUT.

Thanks for the answer & moving the post. Didn’t notice I was on the wrong subforum!
