I have been attempting to install FMOD properly so as to practice the karting tutorial, but I’ve consistently had an issue where most if not all assets will not install. I get this same error with each file, and I can install FMOD by ignoring all of the errors but that in turn has made it impossible for me to build in order to work on the tutorial.
I have run the installer as administrator, and even tried installing an older version but the same issue happens. Is there a solution to this issue?
That is strange, I’ve never seen this kind of error before.
Could you please ensure the following:
Please temporarily disable your anti virus for the duration of the installation.
Check if there are any files or folders already installed in the Documents/FMOD Studio folder. If there are, try deleting this first before installing again.
Ensure you have enough hard drive space for installation.
Thank you so much for the advice! It was indeed an issue with my anti-virus; turning it off forced the system to ask me if it was okay for the file to be changed, and with approval, everything downloaded correctly. Thank you again!
