I was trying to use the celeste files that are given in the demo section of the fmod download page. After working out some kinks, it seems that the game is incompatible with version 2 of FMOD studio, or at least the use of LiveUpdate is (which I need to use). However, on the download page, it says that any version earlier than 2 is not supported. How am I supposed to use the project if I can’t download the earlier version?
Many unsupported FMOD Studio versions can still be downloaded from our website, but they can be a little tricky to find.
If you navigate to our Downloads page and expand the “FMOD Studio” section, you’ll see three buttons: “2.03,” “2.02,” and “Older.” Click the “Older” button, and the the drop-down menu will be populated with FMOD Studio versions running all the way back to version 1.06.07. Open the drop-down menu and scroll until you see “1.10.20 (Unsupported)”; this is the version you want to download.
FMOD Studio version 1.01.20 is similar enough to more recent versions of FMOD Studio that most of the lessons you learn from experimenting with the Celeste project will still be applicable and useful when working with more recent FMOD Studio versions.
