Trying to install fmod for the first time in many years. I have an archived library for semi-automation prompting systems I built a decade ago based on fmod… wanted to try to re-use that code. Tried downloading older/windows 32 version from here:
… but I get a message that it’s corrupted. Tried three times. Same message. Download, replace existing download, windows explorer, unblock, run… boom, bad archive, contact publisher, bla bla bla. Where do I go from there?
Good evening, and thanks for checking that. I’d love to work exclusively in Win64, but, sorry, no. I’m integrating some legacy equipment interface libraries that are Win32, so I’m locked in.
The banks produced by FMOD Studio win64 version work just fine with the win32 version of the FMOD runtime. Is your win32 constraint on the FMOD Studio side or the FMOD runtime side?
I think it’s likely that fmod studio is far more than I need, and probably something I won’t use, especially since I’m trying to resurrect the use of an existing sound library and sound management system. The limitation is on the linkable runtime. Let me look into the runtime only.
