Running Unreal 5.5 and fmod 2.03.07, I have validated that my plugin is the right version. Can’t validate the project through Unreal but there’s sound in game when I’m calling my events so I know for certain that the banks are loaded. Parameters are greyed out in the content browser.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing the image and information.
You’ve run into a known issue with 2.02.28/2.03.07, where banks aren’t loaded properly for auditioning in the UE editor. A fix is currently scheduled for our next release. For now, downgrading to the previous version of FMOD (2.02.27 or 2.03.06) should work around the issue.
Hi, I’ve checked version 2.03.08 and the issue still occurs on 5.5. Has it been scheduled for a future release, or am I the only one experiencing this problem?
HI,
Thank you for sharing the information.
This issue should already be resolved in version 2.03.08. I’ve tested with UE 5.5.4 and the 2.03.08 FMOD Unreal integration, and I wasn’t able to reproduce the validation failure or the issue with sounds not auditioning properly.
Could you please provide more detailed reproduction steps, in case I’m missing something or doing things differently on my end?
Thank you for the clarification!
This is actually a known issue, and the fix is currently scheduled for out next release of 2.03.
In the meantime, there’s a temporary workaround available here:

Hope this helps!
