I just thought I’d make this topic as I’m interested in what people’s experiences have been like integrating FMOD version 2.03.04 or earlier with any version of Unreal 5, Im basically looking for your ancedotal experience.
Has anyone found any issues with building or packaging Unreal projects with these versions or any other bugs that make it pretty much a non starter? Because if so I would just go with implementing an earlier, more stable version of FMOD.
I know that 2.03 for Unreal is in early access so I thought this would be a fair ask.
it’s awesome. i moved all my audio stuff to fmod. its different to unreal the way it works obviously. choose what you are more used to.
learning both is great too. i had no trouble with fmod ever.
forum support is very great here, the staff even gives you code examples for exotic problems.
Did you encounter any problems integrating FMOD 2.03? And what version of Unreal are you running?
No problems ever. I am Using FMOD since 4.26 and now ue5.5, always upgrading both. You have to wait a few weeks sometimes to get the newest fmod update after a unreal engine release, often you can compile the fmod plugin from the previous release still so that is not too important.
