Hi, why is it that -12LU is the loudest the meter can be set to in Target?
I understand that louder than this would indicate heavy compression/limiting and lack of dynamic range.
As far as I’m aware, there’s no specific reason why the upper limit is set at -12 LUFS. I can definitely see the use in having the limit be higher, especially for users who want a particularly loud mix, so I’ve passed it along to the development team to look into further.
