I’m trying to align a song I imported to the beat, and it’s annoying to tinker and try and feel what’s more correct, and it would be a really simple and nice addition to just have an option for a metronome so that one could hear the beat together with whatever they’re trying to do.

In the meantime. An option maybe using the tempo marker (FMOD Studio | Glossary - Tempo Marker) which allows you to snap things to the beat.

Hi, in my case it’s not about snapping, it’s making sure audio/music file is really in tempo/on grid and to see which transient is a particular instrument hit, where I would like to put an FMOD element (region, marker, command instrument… you name it). It’s an audible tool, to confirm what we see… nothing more. Simple, but effective IMO.
