Audiolink - not audible when Unreal is not focussed

Hi,

I’ve noticed that while playing sounds using Audiolink, the sounds stop playing when the Unreal window is no longer focused. I have already unchecked the editor preference “Use less CPU when in background”, but that doesn’t help with sounds using audiolink.

Is there a workaround to this, so that I can have sound playing and mix it using the FMOD mixer at the same time?

I’m using FMOD 2.03.01 and UE5.4.

The FMOD System should still be running, you can test this by playing an event from FMOD Studio, but the audio from Unreal is being muted.

You can enable this behavior in either the editor settings or in the Engine.ini:
