FMOD, plastic, and Mac scripts

,

Hi!

My Coworker and I are trying to get Plastic to work on his mac’s version of FMOD.

https://forum.plasticscm.com/topic/23224-fmod-plugin/

I was able to get it to work here on my PC but unable to find it in on his MAC. We tried putting the scripts in his Library folder in all 3 places that I was able to find online that were the equivalent of the “Appdata” folder. I can’t find the post now but it said that plastic may be in 2.02.23 but downloaded that one and could not find it in the version control nor in the new ones.

Does anyone have a solution for getting Plastic to show up as a source control version on Macs? Thank you!

Here’s the docs for where Studio looks for scripts on each platform :
https://www.fmod.com/docs/2.03/studio/scripting-terminal-reference.html#script-files

“~/Library/Preferences/FMOD Studio/Scripts” or “%project_root_directory%/Scripts” (where %project_root_directory% is where your Studio project lives) would be your best bet.

We have a ticket in our tracker to revisit our Plastic support but competing priorities mean it hasn’t been scheduled yet. Hopefully get to it in the next release or two.

Thank you we got it to work kind of!

Everytime we try and turn on plastic it will run for a second and then give and error. Weather it is on a new project or old. If he makes it or I do.

Can you send us a higher res screenshot of that error please? The text is unreadable if I zoom in. Thanks!

Thanks Rob, that’s much clearer

I’ll add that info to our tracker and we’ll get to revisiting our support for Plastic soon.

Thank you Andrew!
