I have FMOD Studio, and a game dev sent me a .fev file to listen to some audio samples. I can’t access it without FMOD Designer apparently. It’s a version of FMOD that is over a decade old and it is not mentioned on your website appart from the forum.
How can I obtain FMOD Designer, or what would you recommend I do instead?
.fev is the packaged or “cooked” file format that FMOD Designer produces for you to put in your game. You can’t load a .fev into FMOD Designer and see/edit the sound events, if that’s what you’re trying to do. If your dev can find the source project that produced that .fev you might be in business. Otherwise, you’ll have to find another way to listen to the audio samples you’re interested in.
