Project FMOD Licensing Question

Hello, I’m currently working on a game project that is set to release around Q3-Q4 next year, and I’m being given the responsibility to register the project FMOD. I have some questions regarding the license registering.

  1. Can we modify the release details later, even after registration? Right now, I’m being given an estimate of an exact date, but that date might change depending on the dev cycle.

  2. Can we also change the platform release details later as well, even after registration? Or do we need seperate registration per platform? The game has plans to be released in Nintendo Switch 1,2, but is not confirmed.

  3. Do we need developer access (Permissions tab) for the specified platform release (Nintendo Switch) when registering the FMOD license?

Thank you for the quick response. I was wondering what the use of developer access is? Is it to allow us to port FMOD into the specified platforms? I’m still kinda confused about it.

You need to be registered with Sony / Microsoft / Nintendo to get access to console downloads. It is not free/public for everyone.

Thank you for the response, but I was wondering what the use is for the developer access for the console download after being registered with the platform owners? Does it allow us to use FMOD for those consoles? Does the access provide extra features or necessary features to enable us to port FMOD to those consoles? Thank you in advance

When i say it gives you access to console downloads, i’m talking about the console API installer versions of FMOD. You can’t see them without the correct verification steps.

so it is similar to the plugin integration for Unity then?
