Hello,
I am experiencing such behaviour:
I am exporting a 1OA 4 channle audio file from Nuendo and importing it to FMOD. While in Nuendo all sounds panned correctly in FOMD it gets shefted to the left initially. What could be the reason for this?
Nudneo exports in AmbiX format by default. Channel order ACN and Normalization is SN3D. Same as FMOD expects as I understood.
Maybe someone has knowledge in this subject?
Best Regards
Denis
Doing more tests I noticed that FMODs Spatializer doesnt decode the 4ch audio at all.
Atmoky Spatializer works much better in this case. Still weird, once I pan the sound to the left in Nuendo and export, then its is not playing on the left on FMOD, plays in the center. But If I pan right in Nuendo then it plays on the right in FMOD as well. Crazy stuff:)
Hi,
FMOD’s spatializer currently doesn’t support Ambisonic audio - FMOD will simply play back the 4ch 1st order file as if it was using a standard quad channel format, which is likely why you’re observing panning issues. We recommend using the Resonance Audio Soundfield plugin, which is shipped with FMOD Studio and supports 1AO, but other third-party plugins like Atmoky Spatializer are also viable options.
