Bank quality equivalence in kbps?

Hi there,

Is there a table somewhere giving the exact equivalence of the “quality” percentage parameter for Fmod Studio banks? For example, when I choose “mp3 50%”, what exact bitrate does it equates to?
Same for Vorbis.

Thanks.

Thank you for the answer.

In future versions it would be nice to know exactly what one is doing with the compression from the UI though.

Hmm, you make a good point there. I’ll make a note to include information about compression format quality types in Studio’s tooltips and status bar text.

Awesome. Thanks.

Vorbis has a quality setting -1 to 10, not a bitrate, so fmod’s setting maps pretty much to that. See http://www.vorbis.com/faq/#quality
MP3 encoding is basically up to 320kbps, so you could roughly just multiply fmods quality setting by 3.2 to get the kbps.
