Automating the “Amount” value of a sidechain with a single parameter works fine (as you can see in the video), but when you automate it with more than a single parameter, automation for the amount does not work at all.

First I am only automating the Amount with the CombatState parameter, which works fine. But when I also try automating it with the TimeOfDay parameter, the automation stops working.

The automation is working, though it’s not working the way you expect it to.
When a property is automated on multiple different parameters, each of which sets it to a different value, the final value that’s applied is based on the automation curve combination behavior of that specific property. In the case of modulator properties whose units change depending on what property is being modulated, the final value is the sum of all the values the property is being automated to.
