Sometimes it’s very useful to snap an item’s (i.e. an instrument) right edge (i.e. the end of it) to the grid in the timeline. Currently, only the start (left edge) of items snap to the grid, which limits how the timeline can be used to arrange items. Could you add this feature please? Thanks!
Not snapping the right edges of instruments to ruler markers while dragging them is an oversight. I’ll add this suggestion to our feature and improvement tracker.
If you don’t mind my asking, what kind of content are you wanting to snap in this way? I ask because having a real-world example of how a feature would be used gives us useful context when designing it.
I find that it’s useful when trying to align two loops of different lengths in the timeline vertically. Imagine you are splitting the shorter item, and making a loop out of them. It’s useful to have the right-edge snap in this case.
In some music or ambience timelines, it can be also useful to snap the right edge of a transition element in some cases.
