I wish we could test our sound settings for a 100+ sound events easier.
In our case we spawn 50+ sounds in the game. Every event uses the FMOD SPATIALIZER.
I like to tweak the distance attenuation curve or control the BYPASS of an effect.
As I understand it is not possible right now. I see no automation right-click option fopr all sorts of buttons.
It is actually possible to automate effect bypass. To do so:
Select the “EnableWet/Dry” command visible in the menu in your screenshot. This will cause the effect’s “Wet Mix” drawer to appear.
In the “Wet Mix” drawer, automate the slider. If automation causes the slider’s value to be reduced to “All dry,” the spatializer effect is bypassed: It ceases to process the signal and is automatically optimized away until the wet mix is automated back to a higher value.
As of the time of writing (July of 2026), we do not support automating rolloff mode and envelopment mode because we are not aware of any use-case in which it would be useful to adjust those properties in real time. Could you please describe what you’d like to use rolloff mode and envelopment mode automation for, so that we can understand how best to make this feature suit your needs?
Since neither we nor you are aware of any situation in which automation of rolloff mode or envelopment mode might be useful, we won’t assign those features a high priority. However, if you do think of a situation in which you’d find them useful, please don’t hesitate to let us know; we’ll update our feature tracker immediately.
Forgive me if I’m misunderstanding, but if all you want to do is test different roll-offs or effects bypasses at runtime, you can do that with Live Update without needing to do any automating or parameter-mapping. Or is there something else you’re trying to achieve?
