As in the image link below, I have an audio event editor highlighted. How can I replace the audio file in the editor without having to open the assets folder (On my pc) and delete the file, paste desired file and rename to old one?
Do you mean to replace the audio file in that particular multi instrument’s playlist, or to replace the audio file throughout the project?
If your intent is to replace the audio file i nthe multi instrument’s playlist, all you have to do is select the multi instrument (as you have already done), then locate the audio file in the playlist displayed in the deck, select it there, delete it, and drag the new audio file into the playlist in the old audio file’s place.
If your intent is to replace the audio file throughout the project, you should first locate the audio file in the assets browser. (The easiest way to locate the file in the assets browser is to select the multi instrument, then right-click on the audio file where it appears in the playlist in the deck and select “Open Asset in… > Audio Bin” from the context menu.) Once you have located the file in the assets browser, drag the new audio file into the assets browser, then right-click on the old file and select the “Replace with” context menu item, then select the replacement file form the submenu.
Hello thanks for the reply. So I intend to replace ONLY that file as War Thunder separated the files out. If I drag and drop, does the file I drop into have to be named EXACTLY as what it is named inside of the assets folder?
No, the replacement file can be named anything you like. You could replace “HAT.OGG” with “Trousers.wav”, if you wanted.
