Pops/clicks audible as playhead reaches beginning of audio file?

Hey! First post here, I have essentially the same problem as in this reply to a post: Inconsistent fade envelopes - #11 by g.hadji

The problem: during a transition section to a Multi instrument, a varying pop/click is audible at the point the playhead touches the Destination region; the destination region plays at full volume for a few milliseconds, then is attentuated correctly according the fade-in. I mainly am using Multis to make randomised compositions and need to do this all the time, but I’m fairly new to FMOD - perhaps I am missing something obvious?

Is the only way to fix this by changing the ‘frame’ rate or update rate of FMOD, or was another fix made?

The issue discussed in that thread is different to the issue you describe. (The original answer that Richard gave was incorrect, due to a miscommunication between Richard and one of our developers; the cause of the issue was unrelated to the update frequency of FMOD, and adjusting the frame rate was not an effective fix to the issue. The correct answer Richard later gave addressed an issue where extremely short fade curves were partly or entirely skipped, not to instruments briefly playing at full volume before the start of a fade-in curve.)

I’ve not been able to reproduce the behaviour you describe while testing here. Are you able to upload a project that exhibits the issue to your profile page on this website, so that we can see exactly what your’e doing when it occurs?
