Snapshot Parameters?

Hey all,

I have a stupid question today, as I was able to figure this out before but have since forgotten.
Here is a list of my parameters for this one level. If you see all the way on the right there is one called “Pause.” I believe that’s related to my Pause (menu) snapshot; it’s separated by a vertical bar so I assume it’s separate from the rest. It also doesn’t show in my parameters tab.

Am I correct in that this is related to my Pause snapshot? How do I get other snapshots to appear? I know snapshots affect the mix, but I’d also like to use them to turn certain tracks on or off.

The vertical bar just indicates this parameter is controlling a child event contained in your main parent event (but not directly controlling this parent event).

Controlling a snapshot with a parameter is another question. If you want to do so, just right click “Expose as Parameter” on the snapshot intensity knob (in the mixer tab). However, unless you want complex automation, just inserting a snapshot instrument in the event is often enough. Fades (or AHDSR) even control how the intensity kicks in/out.

Thanks! Can you clarify what a “child event” is? I’m not sure how it I did this, but I like how I can turn off some of my instruments when “Pause” is activated. I’d like to do the same thing with another parameter.

By child event, I mean an “event instrument” included inside the main event.

You probably dit that exactly the way I described it:

Okay, I’ll look into this. I never saw “Expose as Parameter” before, so I’m really confused what is happening. Thanks for your help!
