fading a sound sooner based on a parameter

Hi, I have a 1shot sound. Based on a parameter speed, I would like that sound to change how it fades out.

  1. I would like the sound to begin to fade out sooner as the speed parameter is increased
  2. I would like the curve of the fade out to be shorter as the speed parameter is increased

Point 1 is more important than 2. I am fairly new to FMOD studio. Any help would be appreciated.

At present, there is no easy way within Studio to create a fadeout such that the time over which it is applied can vary within a continuous range.

The best way to do this would be to control the volume of your event using a parameter, and to alter the value of that parameter at whatever rate you need in your game’s code.
