Hello!
Has anyone experienced the convert to effects button missing when right clicking on an effect like Multi-band EQ or Reverb as well as the effects tab missing from the application entirely. Im working in 2.03.08 on m1 Macbook pro. OS is 15.3.2.
Thanks!
Hi,
Thank you for sharing the information and version number!
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the issue on my end using a similar setup.
Could I please ask for a few more details about the reproduction steps? Specifically, are you referring to the Convert to Shared Effect option missing from the Mixer window or from the Event Editor?
Just to clarify, the Convert to Shared Effect option is currently not supported for effects placed directly on group buses, which might explain its absence in some cases.
Regarding the missing Effects tab, are you referring to the Shared Effects Browser not appearing under the Window menu?

Is that something you plan to add soon?
And if not, is there any technical limitation that prevents you from adding it to the mixer specifically?
If I have some filtering/muffling in mind, that should affect certain groups of sounds.
If Shared Effects were present in Mixer, I could just use one preset and apply snapshot/parameter changes to it, and in case of adjustments, it would work anywhere I applied the Shared Effects (btw, “Effect Presets” or “Effect Chain” is much more fitting name IMO).
Currently I either have to put all the subgroups I want to have affected under one parent group,
or add FX to each individual group, and in case of adjustments, I need to reapply it in each instance.
Putting it all under 1 parent is not always possible due to other systems,
and adjusting each individual filter is a huge pain in the ass when there are tens of them.
What’s more, when you “Copy properties” in EQ when adjusting what snapshot is supposed to do, those properties do not copy → so you have to adjust them manually in each instance.
