Lock control surface to mixer

Hi

I’m using this TouchOSC mixer and it works perfectly but is there a way of locking the surface to the mixer so it doesn’t lose focus if I adjust something on another page e.g., event window?

Also, I need to start a new session and create an event for the surface to kick into action. This doesn’t seem to work on an already existing session but as it works seemingly always with the former method I presume some signal must be sent from FMOD? I’ve looked in the API but I can’t find a ref to this?

What you’re describing sounds like intended behavior, in that the control surface controls the current active Event Editor/Mixer window. As far as I’m aware, there’s no way to lock the surface to a different window, but I’ve added it to our feature/improvement tracker.

While in the Event Editor, an event must be selected and viewed for the control surface to bind to the relevant controls. Can you elaborate on what you mean by this not working with an existing session?

Thanks Louis.
In a new FMOD session, the “Loud Tech/mackie” msg is being sent out but when I open a recent session this doesn’t happen. As in seen in the video if I don’t close the new session, the recent session connects as expected.

I often use a VCA to connect to events that are routed directly to the output but then jump into the event to even out levels. It’s obviously not a huge effort to re-focus the mix window after that but I think an option to have the mix window locked would be useful for that purpose. Thanks for adding it to the tracker.

Thanks for the detailed video - this is a known bug with opening projects from the Welcome window. Unfortunately I can’t offer a workaround besides opening your projects via the “File” menu instead.
