We have a project working well on fmod 2.01.13 , we’d like to migrate the project to a newer version. However, we’re facing a problem: wether migrating to Fmod 2.02.07 or Fmod 2.03.11 , the scatterer instruments are broken after migration.
The weird part is, if I create a new scatterer with exactly the same values as the old one, the sound plays.
Is there a workaround to fix those broken scatterer (other than redo all of it from scratch) ?
Hmm… When I test here, scatterer instruments created in version 2.01.13 work without problems in version 2.02.07 and later. I must be missing some important step or detail of how to reproduce this issue.
Are you able to post a screenshot of your scatterer instrument’s settings and playlist contents, or better yet, upload a stripped-down copy of your 2.01.13 project featuring a scatterer instrument that breaks upon migration? We may have an easier time identifying the cause if we can see the settings of an instrument that exhibits the issue and examine exactly how it’s migrated.
Maybe it’s related to all the parameter we do have on the event. I’ll join a .zip of one of the problematic event. In a normal use, if you set the parameter “RTPC_Public_M_Left” to 28 , the scatterer is supposed to play . But as you’ll (hopefully) see in the migrated project, the scatterer doesn’t trigger/play.
What went wrong when you tried to upload the file to our website? Is it something we could help you with?
Did you make sure to register your game project first? The uploads section of your profile page only appears if you have registered at least one project with us. Registering a project only takes a few minutes, and lets us know what kind of games people are making with FMOD, which helps us decide what features and improvements we should focus on.
Hello Joseph, i tried to use the upload button of the chat, not the one of my profile ^^” . I’ve added the session with the problem on my upload section. Let me know if you can reproduce the issue, and if you find an easy way for us to fix it.
