I work with a company in another country, we are working with Unreal Engine and we would like to connect Fmod and Unreal to use the profiler, and also so I could mix the game.
Is it possible to use “connect to game” between two computers over the internet?
‘Connect to Game’ allows you to connect to any machine you can identify by IP address. As such, you can indeed connect to another computer over the internet, provided that you know the IP address of the computer you’re trying to connect to. (Of course, many computers do not have static IP addresses, making this a difficult task.)
Note, however, that international internet connections may feature substantial latency, making this kind of long-distance mixing difficult. I strongly recommend profiling and mixing your project locally, if possible.
