Create customised trigger zones

Hello Friends,

I’d like to implement some wave-sounds when the player comes near to the shoreline. I’m wondering if the is a better solution to implement the trigger-zone, than using multiple 3D spheres and place them along the beach.

I’m thankful for any advise

I quite like using a (muted) transceiver transmitter along with multiple transceiver receivers all along the line. It’s quite effective, no phasing issues, a unique soundscape always coming from the right direction, and it keep things quite simple. You just need to play with the sound size and the distance between the receivers.

did you work this out mate? was wondering the same thing

I used the workflow alcibiade described and it worked very nice. Took me a little bit to make the receivers work the way I wanted them to work, but it was worth the effort

Also, I forgot to mention, you’ll have to limit the number of instances with the virtualisation stealing mode to save some CPU.
