Godot 4 and FMOD integration - Best practice?

I am also interested in official integration.

Interested too! Currently using one of the unofficial GitHub packages which is working on linux (+steamdeck) windows and mac exports but would love an official integration

I am also interested in an official Godot plugin for FMOD.

I teach game dev at a University and many of my students are choosing Godot over Unity the last few years due to all the shenanigans, and a native plugin that works with both C# and GDScript would be amazing. It would also make it easier to cover FMOD in my classes, that way when the students choose their engines I know I can cover Unreal, Unity, and Godot in basically the same way once we get to the implementation portion of using FMOD.

I would also like to express my interest for official Godot 4 FMOD integration!

I am a professional sound designer for games and have used FMOD plenty of times with Unity. Godot’s audio system is pretty good but no where near as good as FMOD. Keen for a official plugin!

I would also be interested in official support for a Godot FMOD plugin.

Interestingly, it seems that Wwise hired Alessandro Fama after he made widely used extensions for supporting Wwise and FMOD. His FMOD implementation has since been taken offline. Unofficial versions are sort of fragile in this regard.

Thankfully utopia-rise has made a working plugin, but an official version would be great. Maybe Firelight could contact them and buy their codebase to have a good starting point.

OP here, I’m still interested in using FMOD with Godot. We purchased a licence for our previous project and created a custom integration for our proprietary engine, but FMOD + Godot would be the dream combination for me. I hope that this still is on the cards!

I am currently working, or starting to work, with my new team in a game project using Godot-Engine instead of UE.
I just wanted to ask about the latest ways to start with the FMOD integration for Godot and any workflows or workarounds.
Is it still just the unofficial integrations?

I really want to suggest that even a basic official implementation would be gold to get started with and building from there.
