[SteamAudio] FMOD studio keeps crashing as soon as I try to add a plug-in effect

I was following a tutorial video on how to use fmod with steamaudio in unity.

Unity 2021.3.7f1 + FMOD 2.02.07 + Steam Audio 4.1.1 + Viking Village setup - YouTube

I tried to add Steam Audio Spatializer as Plug-in Effect, but fmod studio crashes as soon as I hit the button. I am using latest fmod and steam audio.

This crash seems to be caused by an error with the phonon.dll library, which is resulting in it failing to be loaded by Studio. I’m not sure what the exactly problem with the library is, as it could be missing, corrupted, or inaccesible due to OneDrive for some reason.

I would recommend confirming that the library does indeed exist in your project’s ./Plugins directory - if it doesn’t exist, copy it to the directory, and if it does, confirm that it isn’t corrupted or inaccessible due to OneDrive. Failing that, you should be able to add phonon.dll, phonon_fmod.dll, and phonon_fmod.plugin.js to your Studio install’s ./plugins directory instead of your project directory.
